Every IT department has more demand than supply for its programming resources. Scare resources are readily absorbed by strategic, high visibility projects leaving very few (if any) resources to accomplish smaller departmental needs.
As a result, genuine business needs for technology solutions are unmet. Typically, this leads to bad feelings between IT and business users, and opportunities for competitive advantage are missed. Over the long haul, these situations become untenable, and relations often deteriorate between an IT organization and its internal clients.
We quiet the noise.
Systems Engineering aims to bridge this gap. Systems Engineering specializes in custom software solutions designed to meet departmental needs. We're not a "body shop," hoping to place contractors; rather, we focus on mainstream technologies (primarily Microsoft tools, SQL Server and Access, in particular) that are easily understood, can be rapidly developed and deployed, and can be supported by internal IT departments, if so desired.
Systems Engineering recognizes that IT departments are concerned about "one-off" systems that are poorly documented, unaccounted for with respect to disaster recovery, and not integrated with other IT efforts. Our developers pride themselves on solving user problems while teaming with internal IT personnel to ensure that we meet their standards for documentation and supportability. When projects are complete, we can either transition support of the applications back to IT, or remain a trusted partner available for on-site or remote support.
For custom software development for new applications or legacy systems, Systems Engineering solves departmental challenges meeting business needs, while quieting the "noise" for IT organizations quickly and cost effectively.
